Why Palestinian crisis remain unsolved — Cleric

Dr. Saheed AbdurRauf (Abu Mazeedatil Khayr), the Chairman of De Minaret International, an Islamic institute, has said the Palestinian crisis, which has persisted for over 80 years, cannot be resolved solely through emotional discussions.

He made the remark during the fifth annual Ramadan lecture of the Forum for Islamic Guidance (FIG) in Abuja, with the theme focusing on the challenges faced by Muslims in the 21st century, using the Palestinian situation as an example.

AbdurRauf highlighted a significant concern regarding the absence of a globally recognized single Muslim leader, despite the presence of over two billion Muslims worldwide.

He noted that this lack of unified leadership among Muslims hinders their ability to address common issues effectively.

He stressed that the unity of the Muslim Ummah (community) is crucial in finding a solution to the Palestinian crisis.

AbdurRauf said if Muslims were united, they could have a stronger stance against the persecution of Palestinians and advocate for their rights more effectively.

Dr. Busari Issa Az-Zubair, the Ameer (leader) of the Forum for Islamic Guidance, also addressed the challenges faced by the Muslim Ummah globally, citing the longstanding Israeli-Palestinian conflict as one of the major ongoing issues causing loss of life and suffering in regions like the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
