Zainab was born on October 10, 1989. Her entry into the entertainment world came early when she was scouted at just 16 years old to begin a modelling career.

From there, her face became recognizable across continents. International brands sought her out for their campaigns, and she built a portfolio that would define her early years in the industry.

In 2012, Zainab co-founded The J-ist TV, an online entertainment web-series. The platform became known for showcasing African culture while diving deep into topical issues that mattered to audiences across the continent. The series featured interviews with some of Africa's most prominent personalities.

Television presenting became her natural home. At EbonyLife TV, she found the perfect stage to combine her interviewing skills with her production experience. The Spot grew into the station's flagship talk show under her guidance.
