# TY Bello: Nigeria's Master of the Lens

TY Bello photographed President Buhari's inauguration in 2015. That single image cemented her status as one of Nigeria's most sought-after visual storytellers.

Adeyinka Bello was born in 1981. She grew up in Lagos, drawn early to the power of images. Photography became her language before she fully understood why.

In the early 2000s, TY Bello opened her studio in Lagos. She began capturing Nigerian musicians, actors, and public figures with a new intensity. Her portraits didn't just show faces—they revealed something deeper. Soon, everyone who mattered wanted to be photographed by her.

Her work extended beyond still images. TY Bello moved into filmmaking and music video direction. She shot visuals for some of Nigeria's biggest artists. Her eye for composition and emotion translated seamlessly to motion.

In 2018, she released The Foreigner, a documentary film that premiered at international festivals. The project showcased her ability to tell complex Nigerian stories for global audiences. Critics praised her cinematography and narrative sensitivity.
