Variety show appearances made Seungkwan a household name across Korea long before most knew his name.

Boo Seung-kwan was born on January 16, 1998. He would go on to become known mononymously as Seungkwan, a member of the South Korean boy band Seventeen.

Pledis Entertainment signed and managed him early in his career. The label positioned him as part of Seventeen's vocal team, where his voice became one of the group's defining features. This placement proved crucial to his later success.

Seungkwan's breakthrough came through Korean variety television. Shows like Unexpected Q, Prison Life of Fools, and The Devil's Plan featured him regularly. His natural charisma on camera made him stand out from other idols. Entertainment networks kept booking him because audiences responded to his presence.
