Snow fell hard on the track when Seun Adigun pushed her bobsled across the ice. The Nigerian-American athlete was competing at the highest level of winter sport, a world away from where she started.

Moriam Seun Adigun was born on January 3, 1987, in Chicago. Her parents brought her into a world that would demand everything—speed, precision, and an unshakeable will.

She first made her mark as a runner. Adigun specialized in the 100 metres hurdles, a discipline that requires explosive power and split-second timing. For years, she chased records and medals on the track.

But Adigun saw a different path ahead. She stepped away from competitive running and retrained herself for bobsledding. Few athletes make such a radical shift in their careers. Fewer still excel at it.

As a bobsledder, she represented her dual heritage at the international level. Adigun competed on teams that carried both her Nigerian roots and American upbringing. Her journey bridged two nations on the winter circuit.

Beyond athletics, Adigun became a chiropractor. She earned credentials in sports medicine and body mechanics. This work let her help other athletes recover and perform at their best.
