About Oluwafemi Oladipupo Adeyinka (Capital F.E.M.I)
"Never Felt a Love" was still climbing the charts when Femi Adeyinka decided to chart his own course.
Oluwafemi Oladipupo Adeyinka was born on April 1, 1984. He would later become known to fans as Capital F.E.M.I, a name that would appear on platinum records and film credits across Nigeria.
His journey into music started with the R&B group 4thComing. The group built a solid following and gave Adeyinka his first taste of what it meant to perform for crowds hungry for quality harmonies and soulful melodies.
In 2008, Adeyinka signed with Kennis Music, one of Nigeria's most influential record labels. That decision proved pivotal. His single "Never Felt a Love" became a breakthrough moment, proving he had the vocal range and emotional depth to carry a song on his own.
Success multiplied when "Baby I Got It (Money, Money)" featuring rapper Eedris Abdulkareem hit the airwaves. The track showcased his ability to blend R&B smoothness with hip-hop swagger. Radio stations couldn't stop spinning it. Mainstream recognition followed quickly after.
By 2015, Adeyinka had learned enough about the music business to take control of it. He left Kennis Music and established his own record label. The move reflected confidence in his artistry and vision for what came next.
Beyond music, Adeyinka also pursued acting, adding another dimension to his entertainment career. He moved between the studio and the screen with the ease of someone built for performance. Whether singing or acting, he brought the same commitment to craft.
Capital F.E.M.I remained active in Nigeria's entertainment industry, building on the foundation he had created over two decades. His early hits continued to play on nostalgic playlists. Younger artists studied his transition from group member to solo star to label owner.
