About Mr. Eazi

Skin Tight opened doors that hadn't existed before. When Efya's voice floated over Mr Eazi's production in 2015, the song became a continental hit that introduced the world to Banku music.

Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade was born on July 19, 1991. He would later become known as Mr Eazi, the architect of a sound that fused Ghanaian highlife with Nigerian chord progressions into something entirely fresh.

In 2008, Mr Eazi relocated to Kumasi and enrolled at KNUST. While studying, he began booking artists to perform at college parties. Music was calling louder than lectures.

His breakthrough came quietly at first. After recording a guest verse on "My Life", the song gained traction across campus and became a popular record at KNUST. The interest was undeniable.

He released his debut mixtape, About to Blow, in 2013. The project showed promise but remained largely regional. International recognition still felt distant.

Then came Skin Tight. The Efya collaboration changed everything. Suddenly, Mr Eazi wasn't just a campus figure anymore. He had an international audience.

His second mixtape, Life Is Eazi, Vol. 1 – Accra to Lagos, arrived in 2017. The title itself told the story of his journey from Ghana to Nigeria. It was a sonic bridge between two countries.

Mr Eazi's contribution to African music extends beyond chart placements. He pioneered Banku music, a fusion sound he describes as a mixture of Ghanaian highlife and Nigerian patterns. As a record executive, he continues shaping the continent's sound. From KNUST parties to global stages, Oluwatosin Ajibade has built something lasting.
