1960 landed like a statement. Elohor Eva Alordiah had spent years building toward her debut studio album, and when it dropped in September 2016, people listened.

Eva was born on August 13, 1989. She would grow up to become a rapper, make-up artist, and entrepreneur—three distinct paths that she walked simultaneously. Nigeria's music industry had never quite seen her combination of talents before.

Her breakthrough came with the extended play Gigo (Garbage in Garbage Out), released for free digital download on November 20, 2011. The project announced her arrival without apology. She followed this with her self-titled EP, Eva, in November 2014. The industry took notice. One Nigeria Entertainment Award came her way. An Eloy Award followed. Then a YEM award.

But Eva's ambitions extended beyond music. She co-founded Kobocourse.com, a platform that hosts courses for African innovators. While other artists were content with their craft, she was building infrastructure for the continent. The platform reflected her belief that creativity and entrepreneurship belonged in the same conversation.

Her makeup artistry became another pillar of her brand. Eva refused to be boxed into a single lane. She was rapper, beautician, and businesswoman—each role informing the others.

The 1960 album represented her artistic maturation. It came after five years of strategic movement through the industry. The project showcased growth that had been evident since those early Gigo days, but now fully formed.
