Blessing Abeng was barely in her twenties when she co-founded Disha, a fintech platform that would later catch the eye of Africa's biggest payment company. What started as an ambitious startup became one of Nigeria's success stories when Flutterwave acquired the company.

Abeng was born on October 16, 1994, in Nigeria. She grew up watching the country's tech landscape shift from imports to homegrown innovation. By her mid-twenties, she was ready to build something of her own.

Disha became her first major venture. The platform gained traction in Nigeria's competitive fintech space, attracting investors and users alike. When Flutterwave, the continent's leading payments company, acquired Disha, it validated everything Abeng and her team had built.

But Abeng's impact extended beyond a single company. She co-founded Ingressive for Good (I4G), a tech non-profit organization aimed at democratizing access to tech education and opportunities across Africa. The organization became a bridge between talent and opportunity in underserved communities.

Her work did not go unnoticed by the continent's recognition bodies. In 2022, she won the African Achievers Awards of the year. The recognition acknowledged her contributions to entrepreneurship and social impact across the region.

The following year brought another milestone. In 2023, Forbes Africa listed her in their "30 Under 30" rankings. At 28 years old, Abeng had already shaped conversations about fintech, founder culture, and tech philanthropy in Nigeria.

Today, Blessing Abeng represents a new generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs who build companies and communities simultaneously. She proved that success is not just about exits and acquisitions—it's about creating pathways for others.
