# Aisha Yesufu: Nigeria's Fearless Voice for Change

Aisha Yesufu became the face of Nigeria's #BringBackOurGirls movement in 2014. When 276 schoolgirls were abducted in Chibok, Borno State, she mobilized thousands to demand government action. Her relentless activism put pressure on the administration and kept international attention on the crisis.

She was born in 1970 in Kaduna State. Yesufu grew up in a politically aware household that valued speaking up. Her parents instilled in her a sense of duty to her country and community.
