The heat was rising across Africa when Adenike Oladosu took to the streets in 2019. She initiated Nigeria's school strike for climate, a movement that would reshape how young Nigerians engaged with environmental action. At just 25 years old, she became the face of climate activism in a nation facing unprecedented environmental challenges.

Adenike Titilope Oladosu was born in 1994. Little is known about her early years, but her passion for the planet emerged early. By her mid-twenties, she had already begun mobilizing peers around climate action.

In December 2019, Oladosu attended the COP25 gathering in Madrid as a Nigerian youth diplomat. She delivered what observers called a "moving address" about climate change in Africa. Her words resonated across the conference hall as she articulated how environmental crises were destroying African lives and futures. The address marked her arrival on the global stage.

Her activism expanded rapidly after that moment. Oladosu showcased her climate action at major international conferences including the UN Climate Change Conference and the World Economic Forum. She also appeared at the Elevate festival in Graz, Austria. Each platform amplified her message about African vulnerability to climate disasters.

By 2021, Oladosu had grown her influence beyond Nigeria's borders. She founded and currently leads the I Lead Climate Action Initiative, a pan-African movement. The organization coordinates climate activism across the continent. It represents a new generation of African activists refusing to be silent about their futures.

Today, Oladosu remains at the forefront of environmental activism in Nigeria and across Africa. Her school strike inspired thousands of young Nigerians to demand climate action from their leaders. She has proven that age is no barrier to influence. At 30, Adenike Oladosu continues to mobilize Africa's youth for the fight against climate change.
