Senator Lawal Adamu Usman Senator representing Kaduna representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District has mocked All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State for allegedly rented crowd for their rally describing them as ‘Papalolo’
The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP ) Senator disclosed this on his Facebook post on Saturday while reacting to the rally organised by the ruling APC to receive decampees held at Murtala Square.
Lawal while taking a swipe at the party challenged APC to conduct election in at least one ward within the state to test its popularity. He therefore berated the party for fooling Nigerians by gathering a rented crowd for the so-called rally.
The post reads “ APC is like Papalolo in kaduna State. If you truly knew you had the support of your ‘rented crowd’ why didn’t you allow the conduct of election in at least one ward within the State. Even the Governor could not cast his vote at his polling station during the time.
The rally which was also attended by Governor Uba Sani whe he assured those who claimed to be joining the party of equal rights and privilege.
Recall that there has been disquiet in All Progressives Congress following the outburst by Nasir El-Rufai, the immediate past governor when he lambasted Governor Uba Sani for defending President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alleging that he received N150 billion from the federal government.
El-Rufai at a forum attended by prominent opposition leaders criticised the administration of President Bola Tinubu alleging that he is actively working to weaken opposition parties and threatening the country’s democratic system.
The former governor who is a founding member of APC criticised the party’s governance style, describing it as a ‘national emergency’ He called for a a coalition of opposition to wrestle power from APC in 2027.
