Manchester United are interested in acquiring the services of Nacho Fernandez.

Real Madrid mainstay Nacho has decided against renewing his contract at the Spanish club. The 34-year-old centre-back will leave the club as a free agent at the end of the season and according to a report by Fichajes, Manchester United are looking to sign the La Liga utility man in the summer.

Nacho has been a part of the Real Madrid setup since his youth career. He came up the ranks and made it to their first team in the summer of 2012. Over the years, the 34-year-old has featured in 355 matches for Los Blancos. He might not be one of their big-name stars but he has been a great servant for the club and has helped them win multiple titles.

Man United want to sign Nacho

Manchester United are one of the clubs keen on signing Nacho. They have had major problems at the back this season because of injuries and are looking for solutions. They feel the 34-year-old defender, who can feature anywhere in the back four, could add significant depth to their ranks and his experience could prove to be invaluable for the side.

With Raphael Varane likely to part ways with the Manchester-based club in the summer, Nacho could be an ideal signing. While he is already 34, the Madrid-based centre-back still has a few years at the top level left in him and he could help Manchester United with his quality, leadership skills and his experience.
