Imo PDP women back Senator Anyanwu

…Say he remains Nat’l Secretary

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) women in Imo State have reiterated their support and loyalty to the embattled Senator Samuel Anyanwu, insisting that he remains the National Secretary of the party based on legal and moral grounds.

The women’s group, which includes leaders from the 27 LGA and 305 wards, made the stand known in a communiqué issued after their general meeting and Prayer Summit held at the party’s State Secretariat in Owerri.

The statement which was signed by the State Women Leader, Lolo Edith Nwachi, and the Zonal and LGA women leaders  reads in part: “We the women of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the entire 27 local government areas of Imo State, arising from our general meeting and Prayer Summit on Thursday, February 20, 2025, wish to reiterate our unalloyed support and loyalty to our leader, Distinguished Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy), as the National Secretary of our party.

“Your Excellency, we are happy with your inclusive leadership of the party in the State which has brought Imo PDP back as the people’s party, given that under your watch women and youths now have the voice and platform to shine, while all the leaders and elders of the party are also adequately accommodated and given their pride of place.

“We are equally satisfied with the dexterity with which you have handled your position as National Secretary and leader. We are strongly behind you, our great leader, as we are convinced that you are the rightful National Scribe of the party in the eyes of the law and the party’s constitution. Congratulations, sir. Victory is sure!”

The State Organizing Secretary, Amb. Felix Nwowu; State Publicity Secretary, Lancelot Obiaku; and State Youth Leader, Ndubueze Eburuaja were present at the meeting to address the women on the true position of the party both at the State and National levels.
