Ex-Super Eagles defender Oboabona set for Sunshine Stars debut

Godfrey Oboabona is set to make his first appearance for Nigeria Premier Football League side, Sunshine Stars against Heartland on Sunday (today).

Oboabona rejoined the Akure club for a second spell last month.

The centre-back spent three seasons with Sunshine Stars before linking up with Turkish Super Lig outfit, Caykur Rizespor in 2013.

The 33-year-old last played for Georgian club, Dinamo Batumi.

Oboabona will hope to help Sunshine Stars get a positive result at the Awka City Stadium.

The Owena Waves sit in 15th position on the NPFL table.
