Ex-lawmaker, Alhaji Sidi Ali dies aged 86

An elder statesman, veteran journalist, and former federal lawmaker in the Second Republic, Alhaji Sidi Ali is dead. 

The member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, elders committee in Kano State, died on Thursday, April 25. 

Senator Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker announced the development in a post on his official Facebook page on Thursday night.

The deceased was the father of the recently appointed spokesperson of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Hakama Sidi Ali. 

Ali had worked at the Nigerian International Press Centre, Ministry of Information and National Broadcasting Commission, among others.
