Attack on Israel: The strength of Iran has inspired millions all over the world – Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has hailed Iran for launching over 300 drones and missiles against Israel, emphasising that the action was in the best interest of humanity.

Fani-Kayode said the attacks by the Islamic Republic of Iran against Israel were done to stand up against the barbarity, “bullying and oppression” of Benjamin Netanyahu’s government in Gaza and other Palestinian territories.

Speaking in an interview responding to the attacks launched by Iran against Israel this month, which many have feared could spark World War III, the former minister and chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, said the attacks were a strong signal.

Recall that on April 13, Iran launched more than 300 drones and missiles at Israel in retaliation for a suspected Israeli air strike on Tehran’s embassy compound in Damascus which killed 13 people.

Reacting in an interview, Fani-Kayode said, “Let me talk about the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran, they have made us proud as human beings as they stood up against the oppression of the Israelis and the barbarity of Netanyahu and his government.

“They have shown the world that even the oppressed and those that have been misrepresented, and those that have been slandered, and lied against, and treated with contempt, when the time is right, they too can stand up against the bullying.

“And that’s what Iran has done. And believe me, the strength of Iran has inspired millions all over the world, not only in Africa, not only in the Middle East, but all over the world.”

Speaking about what caused Iran’s retaliatory attacks, he said, “At the end of the day, when someone goes too far like High Commissions in foreign land, such impunity. You have attacked, you have bombed Syria through Damascus. That’s a direct attack. And the response of the Islamic Republic of Iran was virile, was strong, was focused, and sent a mighty signal not just to Israel, but to the entire world.

“At the end of the day those you think could not stand up for themselves, those you have maligned for so many years, those you have misrepresented and those you thought had nothing to offer and that could not stand up to your bully did more well than standing up.”

Commending Iran, Fani-Kayode said, “But they did it with humanity, and precision, and how was that? They did not kill anybody in Israel, and they showed clearly they are capable of targeting every single Israeli city and rained all kinds of fire over them. And within a matter of seconds. Not only that, they aimed at two air bases.

“They targeted the two air bases, the most highly protected air bases on the planet earth. This is a noble thing to do, this is the right thing to do. They didn’t shed any blood.”

He mentioned the role of the United States in the whole saga, saying, “America, Israel’s big brother, has warned them don’t push Iran too far. Iran didn’t act for themselves, they acted for the Christians of the world, the Muslims of the world, the humanity itself, they acted for everybody to put Israel in their place, and they have done that effectively.”

When asked about the disposition of the African Continent, he said, “South Africa is playing a key role in this matter by taking Israel to court and they have done the right thing. Nobody needs to tolerate or accept the notion that Israel has the right to exist as long as Israel displays the level of barbarity they have displayed.

“They are accused of mass murder, they are accused of genocide, they are accused of ethnic cleansening. They are not just killing Muslims. They are killing Muslims, Christians, everybody else, and anybody else. They are killing even their own people in Gaza. and they enjoy killing.”
