Zango Kataf APC welcomes DSP’s aide Shekari

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zangon Kataf local government has formally received Mr. Rijo Shekari, a former candidate for the Kaduna South senatorial district.

Recently Shekari, currently Senior legislative aide to the Deputy Senate President Barau Jibirin formerly declared for the APC. 

Receiving Shekari at the APC office in Zonkwa, the local government chairman of the party, Comrade Markus Bahago, described Rijo as a person with a proven track record.

Bahago said the new party entrant would add significant value to the APC in the LG and beyond. 

He expressed hope that Rijo would leverage his wealth of experience, network, and connections to enhance the party’s fortunes in the area.

Responding, Shekari stated that he was motivated to join the APC family due to the inclusive governance style of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani. 

He cited several appointments given to Southern Kaduna by the current administration, as well as the recent assent to Senator Katung’s bill for the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, as key reasons for his decision.

The Vice Chairman, Zangon Kataf local government council, Hon. Godwin Ishaya Dandaura, welcomed Rijo to the party, describing him as “a great harvest”. 

Dandaura expressed confidence that Rijo’s entry into the party would bring positive change to APC in the area.
