The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of Yobe State University, Ahmed Mustapha Goniri, Esq., has praised the Biomedical Research and Training Centre (BioRTC) for its tireless efforts in researching kidney disease in Yobe State. Led by Dr. Mahmoud Buka Maina, the center is working to address the prevalence of kidney disease in the state.
Barr. Goniri expressed his delight with the center’s impact on the community, emphasizing the need for increased attention to kidney failure in the state. He commended the team for their hard work and dedication to finding solutions to the growing problem of kidney disease in Yobe State.
The research initiative is part of a broader effort by the Yobe State Government, led by Hon. Mai Mala Buni, to combat kidney disease. The center has trained researchers, including physicians and environmental scientists, to collect samples and study the causes of kidney disease in the region.
Dr. Maina attributed the center’s progress to the teamwork of the entire BioRTC team. He also appreciated the people of Bade for their cooperation, revealing that the center has concluded collecting samples in the area and is now proceeding to Damatru for continuation.
