Tackle insecurity, hunger in Nigeria – IPAC charges Tinubu at 72

The Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC, has used the occasion of Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 72nd birthday to charge the President to tackle insecurity and hunger in the country.

The council said that Tinubu, as a politician, who has fought for the restoration of democracy from the military junta and mentored several Nigerians who are now occupying public offices, should be able to find his way out of the challenges facing the country.

IPAC noted that though the former Lagos State helmsman assumed duty at a difficult time, he should take bold steps to tackle insecurity and economic hardship in the country and provide the desired fruits of democracy that will assuage the sufferings of the masses.

“This is in accord with the provision of Section 14(2)b of the 1999 Constitution as amended, which states that the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government,” the IPAC statement signed by its National Press Secretary, Chinyere Oge-Kalu, said.

“This is the heartbeat of Nigerians and their expectation from the APC-led government.”

The statement added that IPAC National Chairman Alhaji Yusuf Dantalle and its general assembly pray to God to grant Tinubu the extraordinary wisdom, good health and courage to pilot the affairs of the nation as well as implement his Renewed Hope agenda for the people.
