Shettima To Attend NIPSS SEC 46 Graduation In Kuru

The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, will attend the graduation of Senior Executive Course 46 of the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Plateau State, tomorrow, February 28.

As a Special Guest of Honour, Vice President Shettima will supervise proceedings at the graduation of 96 participants of the institute’s Senior Executive Course (SEC) from the public and private sectors.

According to a statement by his spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha, the SEC 46 participants, led by the DG and top management of the Institution, presented the report of their research to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a brief ceremony held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday, February 26. The report is titled “Digital Economy, Youth Empowerment and Sustainable Job Creation in Nigeria: Issues, Challenges and Opportunities.”

Upon completing his assignment, the Vice President will depart Kuru, Plateau State, for Windhoek, Namibia, to represent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at a State funeral for Namibia’s founding President, H.E. Samuel Shafiishuna Daniel Nujoma.

Vice President Shettima will join other leaders across Africa and beyond to pay their last respects to the late president, who passed away at 95.

The state funeral for the late Njuoma will begin with a memorial service at the Independence Stadium on Friday, February 28, followed by burial at the Heroes’ Acre on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Vice President Shettima will return to Nigeria at the end of the Namibia programme.
