Russian Drone Strikes Kill Four, Including Rescue Workers, In Kharkiv

Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, faced tragedy early on Thursday as Russian drones carried out strikes on high-rise apartment blocks and private homes.

The attacks resulted in the deaths of at least four people, including rescue workers, according to officials.

Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleh Synehubov reported the death toll at four, with 10 others injured, one of whom is in serious condition. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed the casualties, stating that four people died at the scene of one attack, with three of them being emergency vehicle drivers who arrived to aid the victims.

Reports indicated that the strikes caused significant damage to apartments in a 14-storey building, with emergency crews forced to halt operations for fear of additional strikes.

Although signs of life were detected beneath the rubble, the situation remains dire.

Russia denies allegations of targeting civilians, yet Kharkiv has endured repeated attacks in recent weeks, resulting in loss of life and damage to infrastructure.
