A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Bamidele Salam, has congratulated Governor Asiwaju Ademola Adeleke of Osun state on the successful conduct of local government elections in the state.
Praising the governor for his leadership qualities’ composure throughout the process, the lawmaker representing Ede North/ Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo federal constituency of Osun state also called on the victorious candidates to show magnanimity and humility in their victories.
In a statement shortly after the elections, Salam commended governor Adeleke for his “calmness and maturity” in handling the challenges and provocations that emerged during the election period.
“Governor Adeleke has proven to be a true man of peace, exemplifying the dedication to selfless service that the people of Osun State need. His leadership through this election process stands as a testament to his commitment to fostering unity and progress for all.
“The remarkable turn out of voters today is also a vote of confidence in the administration of Senator Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke who has piloted the affairs of Osun state creditably in the last two years,” Salam said.
He charged the winnes that “Victory in any election comes with great responsibility. I trust the winners will demonstrate leadership that is inclusive, accountable, and responsive to the needs of the people”.
