Arne Slot‘s red card in the 2-2 draw with Everton will see him suspended for Liverpool’s next two Premier League fixtures, rather than a one-match ban.
Slot was sent off after the final whistle at Goodison Park on Wednesday night for what the Premier League have now confirmed as “offensive, insulting or abusive language.”
This came during a handshake with referee Michael Oliver, who also dismissed Slot’s assistant Sipke Hulshoff along with players Curtis Jones and Abdoulaye Doucoure.
It was originally expected that Slot would receive a one-match ban, but according to the Premier League his suspension will cover two fixtures.
That rules the head coach out of both Sunday’s visit of Wolves and the trip to Aston Villa next Wednesday night.
