NFF shortlists seven coaches for Super Eagles top job

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has shortlisted seven coaches for the vacant Super Eagles head coach position.

According to a report in SCORENigeria, current interim head coach of the team, Finidi George, is among the coaches shortlisted for the top position.

Finidi was in charge of the Super Eagles for the recent friendlies against Ghana and Mali.

The NFF declared the position vacant earlier this month following the expiration of erstwhile handler of the team, Jose Peseiro’s contract.

Peseiro guided the Super Eagles to second position at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

The NFF reportedly received applications from local and foreign coaches.

The football house is expected to name a substantive head coach for the Super Eagles next month.
