2 days ago 21

Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos has announced that the streaming giant will invest $1 billion in Mexico over the next four years to produce films and TV series, strengthening its presence in one of the world’s most vibrant entertainment markets.

Speaking at a press conference in Mexico City, Sarandos emphasized the company’s commitment to working with local talent and production teams. “We look forward to entering more partnerships with producers in Mexico,” he said.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, also present at the event, welcomed the investment, highlighting its potential to create jobs beyond the film industry itself.

“This will generate employment not only in production but also in hospitality, fashion, and tourism,” she noted.
