The Governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Sule, has proscribed all ethnic vigilante groups and similar organizations within the state, following the recommendation of the State Security Council.

This proclamation, issued through an Executive Order, declares the groups, including Kungiyar Zaman Lafiya Nomad Group, Bassa Vigilante, Eggon Vigilante, and others, as unlawful societies.

The Executive Order also covers any association, movement, organization, or society affiliated with these groups that operate under the guise of vigilante activities. It also includes any group with the aim of providing security among ethnic groups in Nasarawa State through the use of arms.

Governor Sule, exercising his powers under Section 97A of the penal code, stated the danger the groups pose to good governance in the state.
