The Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) Nursery and Primary School, situated at Gingiya Barracks, 8 Division, Sokoto, has commemorated its 7th anniversary with a lively inter-house sports competition.
Addressing attendees at the event, the Chairperson of NAOWA 8 Division, Mrs. Magdalene Indidi Ajose, emphasized the significance of the competition in promoting teamwork, leadership, physical fitness, and sportsmanship among the students. She noted that this was the school’s first-ever inter-house sports event and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to making it a lasting tradition.

Reflecting on the school’s progress, Mrs. Ajose attributed its success to the dedication of past leaders, describing the seven-year journey as one of growth, unity, and academic distinction.
The chief guest, Major General Ibikunle Ajose, praised NAOWA for its remarkable contributions to education, referring to the school as a “citadel of learning.”
Represented by Brigadier General Abubakar Abdullahi Danladi, Commander of the 48 Engineers Brigade, Major General Ajose assured that the 8 Division would continue to provide unwavering support to ensure the school maintains its high standards.
