In response, Lookman described the remarks as “deeply disrespectful”, further fueling speculation about his future.

According to Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Nigerian striker was on the radar of several Premier League clubs last summer, and interest in the African Footballer of the Year has only intensified.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been heavily linked with the winger, according to TEAMtalk Manchester United and Newcastle United have now entered the race.

European powerhouses, including PSG and several Serie A clubs, are also keeping a close watch on the situation, with Atalanta reportedly demanding a €65 million transfer fee for Lookman.

Lookman has been a key player for Atalanta since joining from RB Leipzig in 2022. His ability to play as a second striker, left winger, or right winger makes him an attractive option for top clubs looking to bolster their attacking options.

The race for Lookman’s signature is described as “wide open,” with Atalanta expected to demand a transfer fee of €65 million.
