Man remanded over argument on champions league match

A Magistrate Court sitting at PRP, Gama Quarters in Kano State, has ordered the remand of one Abba Usman Badawa over criminal intimidation and attempt to assault his friend over argument after champions league match between Real Madrid and Manchester City on Wednesday.

Police prosecutor, Aliyu Abideen, said after a verbal exchange that led to a misunderstanding between them, the accused person followed his friend to his house and attempted to stab him with a cutlass.

The defendant denied the charges and sought for bail.

The Judge, Nura Yusuf Ahmad, ordered his remand at a Correctional Centre and adjourned the case to May 6 for hearing.
