West Ham United’s new manager Julen Lopetegui is reportedly keen for the club to seal the transfer of talented young Birmingham City midfielder Jordan James this summer.

The 19-year-old has impressed in the Championship and looks like he could soon have what it takes to shine in the Premier League, with the Hammers seemingly ready to swoop.

James has been linked with West Ham and other clubs, with Lopetegui seemingly keen on the potential signing to also boost the club’s homegrown roster.

The Wales international has been compared to current West Ham man Jarrod Bowen, as he has an eye for goal from the middle of the park and the kind of intelligence to play a variety of positions.

Lopetegui looks an exciting appointment for West Ham and if he’s given the right signings then he can surely do exciting things with this team next season.

James seems just like the kind of player WHUFC should be moving for before their rivals get him, as he’ll surely improve and see his value shoot up in years to come.
