Lokpobiri, Stakeholders Meet To Discuss Growth In Oil Sector

YENAGOA – Major stakeholders in the oil industry, at the weekend, met with the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri, to discuss the progress and sustainability of the sector. 

A statement issued on Sunday by the SA on Media and Communication to the Minister, Nneamaka Okafor, noted that key stakeholders from the oil industry and beyond hand a successful outing at the Nigerian Petroleum Industry Leadership Discourse, organised by Heirs Energies. 

The statement also mentioned that the minister acknowledged that the forum provided an important platform for industry players to engage in robust discussions aimed at advancing Nigeria’s oil sector. 

Lokpobiri said; “While speaking at the event, I underscored the significant progress we have made in transforming our oil industry to ensure lasting prosperity for all Nigerians. 

“These reforms are part of a broader strategy to showcase the vast opportunities that the Nigerian oil sector presents, opportunities that offer mutual benefits to both the nation and investors. 

“Our initiatives are carefully designed to create an enabling environment, ensuring safety across oil installations and implementing policies that drive business growth. 

“The Federal Government, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, remains steadfast in its commitment to boosting the investment landscape. 

“This is crucial in our efforts to ramp up production and increase revenue generation and as such, I am encouraging investors to tap into the immense potential within our oil industry, driving progress and fostering sustainable growth for the benefit of all stakeholders involved.”
