Lobi Stars Football Club has appointed Coach Mohammed Baba Ganaru as its Interim Head Coach until the end of the current season.
This decision was made necessary by the resignation of the former Technical Adviser and the team’s current standing on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table.
According to the club’s chairman, Dr. Philip Nongu, in a statement signed by Emmanuel Uja, Director of Media, Monday, the appointment of Coach Ganaru, who has previously managed the team, was aimed at repositioning the club and ensuring its retention of NPFL status.
Dr. Nongu expressed confidence in Ganaru’s ability and reaffirmed the management’s commitment to providing him with the necessary support.
In another development, the club has constituted a new management team, with Dr. Nongu serving as the head.
Other members of the team include Lawrence Adoga as Team Manager, Solomon Aondoakaa as Accountant, and Emmanuel Uja as Media Director.
Meanwhile, Lobi Stars has emerged as the champion of the 2025 President Federation Cup, defeating Flight FC Gboko 2-1 in the final match.
The team will now focus on its NPFL campaign, hosting Niger Tornadoes in a regional derby on Wednesday.
