In a statement made available to Blueprint Monday, the coalition which comprises 20 civil society organisation under the leadership of Karlos community development and empowerment initiative further lamented that the SGF has continued to undermine the governor, while he continued with his lopsided appointments mainly in Benue state at a time he should carry the entire North Central region along.
The statement which was signed by the president of the coalition, Comrade Abdulsalam Sani, and the secretary, Ambassador Luka Jacob reads further: “In the light of the recent event and ongoing crisis in Benue APC family, we the coalition of 27 civil society organisation under the leadership of Karlos community development and Empowerment initiative call on president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing crisis in Benue state.
‘’It is very unfortunate that Akume has refused to heed the call and advice of stakeholders who urged him to desist from lopsided appointments and carry the entire North central region along.
‘’However, instead of making the necessary adjustments, he has continued to concentrate all efforts on Benue state, trying to undermine the governor.
“We therefore restate the call on the SGF to unite the party in the zone, attract investors to the region and carry the entire North-central region along in all the opportunities.”
