Ligue 1: Fofana backs ‘special guy’ Orban to shine at Lyon

Lyon winger, Malick Fofana is convinced Gift Orban will come good at the Ligue 1 club, DAILY POST reports.

Orban linked up with Lyon from Belgian Pro League outfit, KAA Gent in January.

The Nigeria international came with a huge reputation having scored 32 goals in 52 outings for the Buffalos.

The 21-year-old has however failed to live up to expectations at Lyon.

Orban has failed to register a goal in eight league appearances for Les Gones.

Fofana has however backed the striker to become an important player for Lyon despite his slow start at the club.

“Oh, Gift has to adapt. There are different rules here than in Ghent. He has had a hard time with that. He’s a special, but good guy. In the meantime, everyone knows him a little,” Fofana was quoted by Voetbalkrant.
