LG donates solar powered borehole to Kano community

LG Electronics has donated a solar-powered borehole to Kawaji Saunar MamaU community in Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

Paul Mba, Head of Corporate Marketing of LG Electronics said that the initiative was part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) program, dedicated to fostering sustainable development and elevating the quality of life for underserved communities.

The Turakin Kano, Kabir Tijjani Hashim, who was represented by the District Head Kawaji Saunar Community appreciated the company for their foresight and urged the members of the community to make good use of the borehole to serve their needs

“Before, we faced daily struggles just to access clean water. Now, thanks to LG, we have a sustainable solution right at our doorstep,” he stated.

The Chairman of Nassarawa Local Government Area, Tusuf Imam praised the collaborative efforts behind the project, stating that, “This is a shining example of how private sector involvement can lead to meaningful change.

“We encourage more organizations to invest in community development like LG has done today,” he stated.

The ceremony attracted LG representatives, local leaders, and members of the community.
