Mustapha Rabiu Musa, son of the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) and leader of the Kwankwasiyya Movement, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has been sworn in to head the state Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf conducted the swearing-in ceremony on Thursday for the younger Kwankwaso, alongside three other newly cleared commissioners by the State House of Assembly.

The three others are Abduljabbar Garko, Shehu Aliyu Yarmedi and Adamu Aliyu Kibiya.

According to the governor, Garko is to oversee the Land and Survey Ministry, while Yarmedi will head the Ministry for Special Duties.

Kibiya, who was earlier sacked for inciting comments against the vice president and threatening the Election Petition Tribunal judges while heading the Ministry for Land and Physical Planning, has been redeployed to the Commerce and Industry ministry.

The Rural and Community Development Ministry, previously led by Abbas Sani Abbas, will now be headed by Safiyanu Hamza Kachako, who was previously heading the ministry but is now a commissioner without portfolio.

The newly introduced Humanitarian Ministry will now be headed by the former Commissioner for Special Duties, Amina Abdullahi Sani, while another newly created Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security has no assigned commissioner as of the time of filing this report.
