Ile-Oluji Fed. Poly, appoints new bursar, librarian

The Governing Council of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State has announced the appointment of Mr. Sehinde Ebenezer Olabode and Mrs. Rachael Fasa Aladeniyi as Bursar and Polytechnic Librarian respectively.

The duo emerged as new principal officers of the decade old institution after a rigorous computer based test and a grueling interview with the Selection Board comprising chairman and other external members of the governing council, representatives of Academic Board and members of Congregation.

A statement signed by the Polytechnic Deputy Registrar Information, Protocol & Passages Division, Mr. Oluyemi Adebiyi, said the selection exercise also included two representative of the Head of Service, two from the Federal Character Commission.

Olabode, who until his appointment was a Chief Accountant with the Bursary Department of Federal Polytechnic, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), he also has over three decade of experience in the various division of the Bursary.

The new Bursar is steeped in the ethics of the accounting profession having delivered several papers at seminars and workshops, while he has also attended several conferences and workshops and he is a community leader.

While the new Polytechnic Librarian, Mrs. Aladeniyi, was the immediate past Polytechnic Librarian of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPOLY), Owo, Ondo State.

An astute academic with several journal presentations at learned conferences, she has also published academic papers in academic journals both locally and globally.

Aladeniyi successfully led her former institution to secure full accreditation of all programmes during its last accreditation exercise, conducted by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).

She is a Certified Librarian of Nigeria (CLN) and has served on several strategic committees of the polytechnic.

Both appointments are for a single non-renewable term of five years and commences on April 1st, 2025.

The council, management, staff and students of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Ondo State, wished the new principal officers a successful stint in the polytechnic.
