Nigerian Afro-Pop musician, John Odafe Asiemo, popularly known as Daddy Showkey, has revealed an altercation between his colleague Eedris Abdulkareem and late American rapper DMX.

This is as Daddy Showkey said Abdulkareem’s clash with international artistes was not limited to his spat with 50 Cent.

In an interview with media personality Daddy Freeze, he disclosed that the rapper had a confrontation with DMX during the All African Games in 2003.

Recalling the incident, Daddy Showkey explained that DMX was prepared to confront Abdulkareem, and he was among those who intervened to de-escalate the situation.

“The same thing Eedris did with 50 Cent is what he did with DMX at Transcorp. DMX was ready to confront him. I was among the people that pleaded with him,” he said during the interview.

Speaking further, he dismissed Abdulkareem’s recent claims that fellow musician Charly Boy betrayed him during the altercation with 50 Cent.

Daddy Showkey is a Nigerian singer from Delta State. His genre of music is called ghetto dance or simply ghetto.

He was popular in Ajegunle in the late 1990s. His brand of music, Afro-Pop, made waves in the late 90s and early 2000.
