Ahudiya Nnem FC showed what they are capable of doing last season by going far in the same competition but this year, they took it to the extreme as they dispatched Abia Warriors in the semifinal before beating the former African champions and nine times Nigerian league winners, Enyimba International of Aba, in the final.
Defeating Enyimba is no mean feat as the People’s Elephants are the most successful club in Nigeria with nine league titles and two CAF Champions League diadem, as well as a couple of FA Cups, two CAF Super Cups and other trophies reeling in their already bursting trophy cabinet.
On the Strength of this, the giant killers, Ahudiya Nnem FC, will fly Abia State flag at the national FA Cup, a feat that has received plaudits.l
