The Initiative For Transparency, Strategy and Good Leadership, Thursday, issued seven day ultimatum to the Rivers state government to evict embattled lawmakers led by Hon. Martin Amaewhule from the Rivers state House of Assembly quarters.
At a press conference in Port Harcourt, the president general of the organisation, Mr. Chizi Enyi, described the continue occupation at the assembly quarters by Amaewhule- led assembly members as illegal since they have openly defected from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC) over a year ago.
Enyi warned that if they continue to occupy the assembly quarters, he would be forced to take legal action to demand answers from Governor Siminalaye Fubara.
He also called on the National Assembly to discipline its members, led by Senator Barry Mpigi, who recently visited Martin Amaewhule in Port Harcourt.
He accused the lawmakers of inciting Rivers indigenes against Governor Fubara.
