KATSINA: Comrade Mannir Mohammed Sulaiman, the Chairman of Funtua Unity Foundation, has described the out going Funtua Local Govt Chairman, Alhaji Lawal Sani as a honest and trustworthy person worth to be emulated by people in the area.
Comrade Mannir stated this when he led officials of the Funtua Unity Foundation on a courtesy visit to his office at the local government secretariat in Funtua on Tuesday.
According to him, the chairman has displayed transparency and honesty in the discharge of his duties as Funtua’s local government chairman, hence the need to celebrate him.
He told the outgoing council boss that they were in his office to specifically congratulate him upon the completion of his tenure in office and wish him well in his future endeavours.
The Foundation boss explained that the association had embarked on such familiarization visits to various stakeholders in the area, with a view to intimate them on the activities of the association.
He said, education, health, philanthropy, humanitarian service, job opportunities, among other things are the cardinal objective of the association to open up opportunities for the teeming youths and women in the area.
Alhaji Lawal Sani Funtua, the outgoing chairman of Funtua Local Government Council, expressed appreciation for the visit, urging the members of the association to embrace the challenges to attain desired goals for the people and development of the area.
The outgoing council boss also appealed to other associations to join hands together in realizing the desired goals and aspirations to move the area to greater heights.
