Facts about Mallam Nuhu Ribadu

There has been a lot of uproar and jibber-jabber concerning who Mallam Nuhu Ribadu truly is. Although I choose to reserve my comments, I can’t ignore the rumours circulating around me as a mentee of Mallam Ribadu, the National Security Adviser (NSA) and pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

To me, having been opportune to be with Mallam Nuhu Ribadu from my very beginning, I understand Mallam’s simplicity and commitment towards his subjects. I met a man who holds one of the highest positions on this earth, but he never held himself high as being better than others. No, Mallam is as simple as a human being could be. He never wore expensive material things nor owned huge houses, and he rarely used perfumes because of his simplicity.

Some of the qualities that come to mind whenever I hear Mallam Nuhu Ribadu’s name are: integrity, intelligence, simplicity, humility, and honesty, to name a few. In any society, there are exceptions, and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is certainly one of them.

In politics, one must understand their “dos” and “don’ts” before passing judgment on a person of honour and integrity like Mallam Nuhu Ribadu—not only in his home state of Adamawa, Nigeria, or Africa, but in the entire world.

Most of the people who oppose Mallam Nuhu Ribadu are, directly or indirectly, corrupt. His simplicity, contentment, and zero tolerance for impunity, injustice, and corruption scare the devil within them.

Mallam Nuhu Ribadu is the perfect example of a great leader who is always able, willing, and ready to sacrifice for the people. One indisputable fact about this pioneer that never ceases to amaze me is his resilience and unwavering faith.

So, against all odds, destiny can never be denied, and justice will always prevail. “Anyone who thinks they can never win without compromising their moral values is a loser!”

We will live to see Mallam Nuhu Ribadu excel at all levels, Insha Allah, and his detractors will be put to shame.

His fight against insurgency and the general insecurity ravaging the country should be appreciated by all and sundry. He doesn’t need to be distracted by those who wish ill for Nigeria.

On the other hand, those who believe in you will always stand by you, whether you’re in government or not. That is why we, as loyal supporters, continue to stand by Mallam Ribadu, showing our unwavering loyalty. It’s understandable that once you begin to prosper, you will face enmity or jealousy, sometimes even from the least expected sources.

Some do not believe in your capabilities, nor do they believe that God can do the unthinkable and elevate one’s status in society. These are the same people who are already in government but have not done anything for their immediate community or the country at large. They are always quick to criticise and tell the world that if it’s not them, no one else ever gets it right.

I noticed most of the people who make a tent of labeling Mallam Nuhu Ribadu with names as they wish didn’t even know him nor inquire from supposed sources.

They envy Mallam Nuhu Ribadu because none of them will produce the likes of developmental milestones like him. They envy him because he’s honest and never compromises in issues related to any form of bribery or corruption.
