EFCC arrests Lalong’s younger brother, Kenneth Bako

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Wednesday, arrested Mr. Kenneth Bako, a younger brother to the immediate past governor of Plateau State and senator representing Plateau Southern senatorial district, Senator Simon Bako Lalong.

The younger brother to the former governor was arrested at about 1:30pm in Yelwa town of Shendam local government area of the state.

Daily Trust reliably gathered that Bako was driving toward Yelwa Central market area where some fully-kitted detectives of the anti-graft agency stopped and arrested him.

He was eventually moved into their White Hummer Toyota Hiace Bus.

A resident who confirmed the development to Daily Trust on Thursday, stated that the cause of his arrest might be connected to allegations of mismanagement of contracts he handled between 2015 and 2023 when his brother was in charge of the state, but Daily Trust cannot independently verify this.

Our correspondent reports that though information about whether he was moved to Abuja or Jos, is still sketchy, as of the time of filing this report.
