Diddy’s Lawyers Seek Dismissal Of Revenge Porn, Human Trafficking Claims In Sexual Assault Lawsuit

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal team has taken action against a lawsuit accusing him of sexual assault, filing a motion to dismiss certain claims that were not legally recognised at the time of the alleged incident.

The motion, submitted in a New York court, argues that Combs cannot be sued for acts that were not prohibited by law in 1991, when the alleged assault occurred.

The lawsuit, brought forward by Joi Dickerson-Neal, alleges that Combs drugged and sexually assaulted her after a date in Harlem when she was a 19-year-old college student. It further claims that Combs videotaped the assault without her knowledge and shared it with colleagues in the music industry.

However, Combs denies these allegations and accuses Dickerson-Neal of attempting to exploit a New York law that temporarily extended the statute of limitations.

Combs’ attorneys seek to dismiss specific claims, such as revenge porn and human trafficking, on the basis that the relevant laws were not enacted until many years after the alleged misconduct took place.

While the motion focuses on legal grounds, Combs and his legal team “vehemently deny” what they deem as “false, offensive, and salacious accusations” in the lawsuit.

Notably, last month saw federal authorities raiding Combs’ properties in Los Angeles and Miami as part of a sex trafficking investigation, marking a significant escalation in the scrutiny surrounding him.

Combs has been named in multiple recent sexual abuse lawsuits, including one settled with R&B singer Cassie, who accused him of years of sexual abuse, including rape.

Additionally, a music producer filed a lawsuit alleging Combs coerced him into soliciting prostitutes and pressured him into sexual activities.

Another accuser claims Combs raped her when she was 17.

Throughout these legal battles, Combs and his attorneys have consistently denied all allegations made against him.
