In a bid to bolster his aspirations for the Vice President position of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), Comrade Tenyo Digborhi recently paid a visit to Olorogun Akporuru Patrick Wheleke, President General of Ughievwen Union, to seek blessings.

The visit to the President General’s residence in Otughievwen town, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, centered on receiving fatherly prayers and guidance in his pursuit of the vice presidency.

Wheleke offered heartfelt prayers for Digborhi’s success, emphasizing the importance of a peaceful approach in the political landscape.

He encouraged the aspirant to avoid violence and to engage in constructive dialogue with his contemporaries, underscoring that the pursuit of such a position is competitive, with many aspiring candidates keen on making their mark.

“Success in this office will require decorum and respect for all stakeholders involved,” Olorogun Wheleke advised, stressing the need for Digborhi to connect with influential figures in the Delta State students’ affairs office.

According to Wheleke, “Although the Ughievwen President General’s office maintains an apolitical stance, I use this opportunity to express gratitude to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the Governor of Delta State, for his commendable efforts in the area.”

He cautioned against distractions and mischief-makers whose words might incite tensions within the state’s political environment.

He urged Comrade Digborhi to reach out to Comrade Oghenetega Okoh Ezekiel, the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Students Affairs, for further support and guidance in his campaign efforts.

The aspirant expressed his gratitude to Olorogun Wheleke for the prayers and advice, vowing to uphold the values of unity and dialogue in his bid for leadership within the student community.
