APC Chieftain Urges 60 PDP Lawmakers Not To Dump Party

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, has called on the 60 aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House of Representatives, not to abandon their party.

Recall that 60 PDP Lawmakers recently threatened to dump the party if the acting national chairman, Umar Damagum fails to resign from office.

Eze, in a statement made available to newsmen in Port Harcourt, called for support from patriots across board, regardless of political party affiliation, to help the 60 federal lawmakers drive home their demand of a stable PDP.

The APC chieftain stated that the opposition political party lawmakers, deserve some accolades for their determined effort to rescue the party from the mechanics of internal sabotage.

He accused Damagum of deliberately conniving with avowed adversaries of the PDP to sabotage ongoing efforts to stabilise leadership at all tiers of the party’s hierarchy.

Eze wondered why the acting national chairman could allow himself to be stripped of his moral fiber and lured into the desperate scheme of tricksy provocateurs in their awkward desire to stifle opposition political parties and foist on the country a one-party system in furtherance of their selfish, private pursuits.

On the alleged bribery of some members of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the PDP with $30,000 each by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, the APC chieftain said the weight of the allegation calls for urgent questioning by relevant security and anti-graft agencies.
