Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has presented the staff of office to the newly appointed Kumu Gombi His Royal Majesty Aggreh B. Ali, with a charge to bring his administrative skills to bear in his reign.
He advised him to pay greater attention to issues of peace and security which he described as germane to any meaningful development in the society.
Speaking at the presentation of staff of office to the new monarch at the weekend in Gombi, the governor justified his administration’s decision to create new chiefdoms and emirates in the state.
He stressed that it was done in the overall interest of the state, to further consolidate on his polices and programnes of uplifting the living conditions of the citizens.
The governor congratulated the people of Gombi for the new chiefdom, which he said is endowed with huge potentials and felicitated with the new monarch on his well deserved appointment as the first Kumu Gombi.
Responding, the new Kumu Gombi thanked Governor Fintiri for the creation of the chiefdom, confidence and trust bestowed on him, describing his appointment as a call to service.
Even as he pledge to ruled his people with fear of God ,fairness, justice and equity putting the collective interest and development of his people and the state at heart and carried his people along in the discharge of his responsibilities as the father to all sons and daughters of the chiefdom irrespective of their tribal religious and political affiliations.
