Abduction of Edo PDP chair: Police comb creeks, forests
As part of efforts to rescue the kidnapped Edo State chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Tony Aziegbemi, the operatives of the State Police Command have stormed creeks and forests in the state in search of the victim.
Recall that Aziegbemi was kidnapped last Friday at about 11:00 pm by six armed men in front of his house after a meeting with the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, at the Government House.
The State Commissioner of Police, Funsho Adegboye, gave an update on efforts being made to rescue the PDP leader.
“We have intensified our patrol, we were in the creeks yesterday (Sunday), around Ologbo, Obayantor and other parts of the state.
