During the summer of 2023, David Moyes recruited five fresh faces for the club.Among the signings made by Moyes was Andy Irving, whom he promptly loaned back to SK Austria Klagenfurt for the season.

As Moyes gears up for his summer transfer plans, the player wants to make his debut at the London Stadium after not having played for the team yet.

Andy Irving on his West Ham future

“I believe that I can go to West Ham and show my quality. It’s a challenge I’m very excited for. I understand the level that I’m going to and it’s up to me to show that I can play at that level.”

Irving has been on the books at the Hammers for almost a year now without kicking a ball for them yet, after he was sent on loan to SK Austria Klagenfurt. It’s worth noting that West Ham entered into an agreement to become an affiliate club with the Austrian club.

Andy Irving has featured prominently the Austrian top flight side, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 20 Austrian Bundesliga appearances this term.

The issue for Irving is that his parent club have a plethora of very good midfield players, that can play a wide range of roles within the middle of the park.
